A 1920’s Summer Residence
Construction Management
The 1920’s Summer Residence was designed by Architect Doug Lorenz. The residence was built by Charles Kettering and Colonel Deeds for Virginia Kettering’s Mother, Doty Weiffenbach, of Weiffenbach Marble and Tile Company.
The exterior is of a simple design of white brick and stone. The interior is graced by curved arched openings, large casings, wanescoat and large bay windows. The residence has five functioning fireplaces: Billiard Room, Living Room, Guest Suite, Master Bedroom and Dining Room. The floor plan was unusually open for it’s time with a focus on entertaining and provided guest quarters for frequent visitors.
A full restoration was completed on the interior taking it back to its original elegance.
