Hidden Treasure
New Construction – Private Residence
Design a new residence for large family, business and community gatherings, which creates a setting to display and preserve family heirloom collections and provides expansive views to the beautiful wooded site.
The residence has a casual elegance reminiscent of the homes build in the 1920’s with a blend of an east coast shingle style exterior and an interior influenced from west coast architects Greene and Greene. Their influence can be seen in the entry, the office, the custom server in the dining area.
The durable exterior includes exterior shingle siding created from concrete roof shingles produced in Canada and used to protect homes from fire. The concrete shingles need minimal maintenance. The linen color exterior trim is a polyurethane material, which does not deteriorate. The river rock skirt provides moisture protection from splashing rain and snow.
The interior materials include American Cherry flooring with a tung oil finish, Sipo Mahogany Island Countertop, Dark green jade honed slate countertops, Sapele Entry and Office, and linen white architectural woodwork with Maple tongue and grove ceiling.
